/> How is it to be the tallest girl (and sometimes taller then boys too) in the whole class from elementary school? NOT GOOD.

I was always the tallest, I was always the one who had to stand at school photos at the back or sitting down somewhere in the middle, I was always the one to get the biggest shoes (size 7 or so), I was always the one who had to go around the shops ages to find jeans with the longest legs, or look for trousers which had the extra fabric to make it work for me. Formal jackets, blouses, shirts were always with way too short sleeves. Shall I continue?

Have you ever felt like you should not wear high heels because you will stand out too much and people will make fun of you?
Have you ever looked at a REALLY beautiful pair and think like “shit… why do I have to be so damn tall?!”…
Have you ever thought about that cute guy in the class you just can’t go out with because it would look ridiculous?

HA!! I have the answers for you!

1. Ashamed. Don’t be ashamed of your height. It’s how you were made, it’s how you have to live your life. You can get bigger breasts, smaller breasts, you can do liposuction or a whole lot of things, but height is something you can’t change on, so you better accept it. Look at the supermodels (this is the least favourite example of mine, because who gives a crap? They are famous, they are not realREAL everyday people with everyday lives), they are 6′ and they wear whatever comes to their mind.

2. Weight. Try not to carry around extra weight, be the best weight you can ever be, don’t let love handles and bulging fat show, if you do have all that, I would say: stay away from heels unless you want to look like a whale in heels, but this is only my personal opinion. Also if you are too thin, you will end up looking like a spaghetti, which is no better then a whale in heels.

3. Boyfriends. Don’t mind if your boyfriend is shorter then you! If he likes you, he won’t mind it either. Of course, if not necessary (for your own self), try to look the shortest without stooping, because that seems like trying too hard (isn’t it really trying too hard?) and being ashamed of your height. As a latest example I saw a really tall girl at a party a couple of weeks ago, she must had been a basketball player, and was around 6’2″ or so. And her boyfriend was 5’9″ the maximum. They looked very different in height and the girl was wearing flip flops. But the best thing about it was, that the guy didn’t care. He just simply loved her and wasn’t ashamed to show it! :)

4. Compromise. You don’t want to look ridiculous. Chose one of the following, but don’t get everything at the same time, because it might look good on someone who is 5’2″ to make them stand out of the ground, but you wouldn’t want to chassé around with 6 inch heels, 12 inch tall hair, turtleneck and belt size miniskirt.
Get a fab pair of heels, and that is it. Get a taller hairdo, but not the rest. Choose accordingly.

5. Sex. We all love it. So why not make it better? High heels train your pelvic floor muscles, so go on with it!

6. Sexiness. Heels look sexy. They make your legs and ankles look slimmer, longer, if you dress well, you can have your legs look never ending, so why not play with it and make the most out of your sexy looks. :)

7. Learn to walk. If your walk is clumsy, you will look miserable, no matter what shoes or clothes you wear. But imagine your bad walk with heels which is hard to walk in for starters gracefully enough even if your posture is flawless. I see lots of average height girls with bad walk in high heels. I see them stepping to the inside of their legs, leaving their knees bent, heels moving backwards at every step, digging the shoe into the ground at every step and I could just continue… No! Learn to walk and those few inches won’t do much of a difference anyway.

So on the grounds above, I will put my leggings on and my high heeled Scholl sandals and chassé my way to do some lovely shopping! Have all the heads turn after me, be proud of my weight loss (bear in mind I just had a baby a few months ago) and hold my head high up because I am tall and beautiful!!! :))))

Daily Skincare Regimen

Beauty&Fashion

Featured
<guid

However, since I grew up this routine changed a bit, let’s see:

Weekly:

scrubbing (I use Avon clearskin invigorating cleansing scrub). Always make sure you put your night cream on the dryer areas of your skin after scrubbing and a lighter cream on the rest. This will ease the tension and won’t let your skin break and will not let the wrinkles “visit” so soon.

mask – something relaxing, calming

Daily:

depending on your skin. But I wouldn’t wash madly 2-3 times a day. Have your bath or shower in the evening, do whatever (the whatever I do is explained later) you always do with your skin and only rinse it with water in the morning if you need.

Before washing clean your face free from make up.

Wet with warm water and a face wash suitable to your skintype. With little circular movements massage the cleanser into your face and make it go near your ears and high up in your forehead (that’s a place where blemishes like to appear as well), give particular attention to your nose and chin. When it’s nice and foamy, wash it off with warm water.

Many people like to use a toner, but I think it’s up to your skin type. My skin is very dry so I just leave this step out completely. Of course if you go to the beautician to get those pores smaller, she will do that, but professional skin cleaning is a little more thorough then what we can do at home.

And now for the moisturising. I find this a very important part of the regimen. I never ever ever let my skin dry completely. I always pat it dry with the towel and sort of rub it around my nose and chin, but quickly straight after that I make sure that some heavier cream gets around my eyes and a lighter moisturiser gets all over my face. I always take a minute to massage my chin and my neck.

That’s my skincare every day. Sometimes it’s quicker sometimes it’s longer. If you have more time on your hand, you can do facial sauna and carefully scrub after so you can purify your skin even more.

Extra tips:

use baby oil on your wet skin to make it more hydrated

make sure you get the blackheads and everything under that out of the pores and use a product which pulls together your skin; some toning masks are good for that. If you leave a little bit in the pores it may get infected, so be careful with this

use vitamin E around the eyes and the wrinkle areas sometimes (i only do this once a month or whenever it comes to my mind)

when you are using a lip balm put it slightly above the lip line (mainly the top) as well. That area gets wet often which makes it dryer, later cracking even later wrinkly old lady lips appear.

That’s it for wisdom for today!

Make-up mistakes that should never happen

Beauty&Fashion
<guid

This is how you should never look:

all the bad things on a pretty woman

Don’t wear a mask

Foundation and concealer is great, but if you only put it on your face and not spreading it out properly to your neck and all surrounding areas it will definitely look bad. Also, wearing too much or very different colour to your skin is not great either.

Don’t overdo your eyes for daytime or if you are tired

Strong smoky eyes or excessive use of black eye pencil/shadow is a nono for work in the morning… Looks bad… Some circles around the eyes are already bad enough, no need to emphasize it with strong eye make-up. The best thing you can do after trying to conceal them, just put on mascara and discrete shine around the eyes.

Contrasting lip-liner and colour

Most people need to use a lipliner to correct the shape of the lips, which is fine of course. But since Baywatch and Pamela Anderson is really out of the spotlight, please chose a matching colour to the liner.

Chipped nailvarnish

At this point I’m not even going to mention dirty nails because I assume that’s a basic hygienic expectation.
Anyhow. Remove your varnish, don’t put it on, wear gloves or get nail extensions (needs to be refilled every 2-4 weeks) or whatever makes you feel better, but there is nothing more disappointing then to see a pretty woman with scruffy hands and nails.

Summertime heels and toenails

This is really basic, but if you want to wear lovely sandals which will draw the attention to your feet, get them done, don’t be “down at the heel”.. (only daring to say in brackets: if they are not so bad, nails cut properly, heels “all right”, you can get away with less extroverted footware, such as flip-flops..)

The Blusher

Yes. There isn’t a single day when I don’t see someone looking like a clown on the street. When planning to be seen on the street, apply your blusher in a natural daylight, this way you will see how it will look like to other people as well. Going to a party or somewhere darker with artificial light of course changes the scenario.

Fake tan

I know, I know… Sun is bad, it burns etc. But better to have nothing on then a terrible fake bake which makes you look like an Oompa-Loompa, browns you like a toast on the wrists, dirts your toes…

Yellow teeth – lipstick

If you have yellowish teeth… Avoid light shades, pales, light pastel, nude, peach, warm and light colours, basically anything looking like foundation… Use cold colours, lipgloss! Also, always choose your lipstick according to your complexion.

That’s all for now! Come back for more! :)

How to get the perfect eyebrow shape

Beauty&Fashion

How To
<guid

You should chose highly arched eyebrows which start from the inner side of your face and end not too long. The more inside you start the less it widens your face – of course don’t grow them together in between… :)

Arch them high so your face seems longer and skinnier.

Just like this:

(ps: actually, I think Charlize Theron is one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, so for her it’s really “whatever” when it comes to eyebrow shape…”)

Long face

This is what I have. I am currently “growing” my brows so I can get a fantastic shape for my holidays, but I will definitely insert a picture of myself as well, when they are done.

Long faces don’t need to be elongated more, therefore the best shape is the straight(ish). Shouldn’t be too close at the peak, but can end as far as you can go.

Facial care steps

Beauty&Fashion
<guid

Today’s topic is facial care.

Unfortunately a great skin is a gift, hereditary or purely good luck. Anyhow, everybody has good or bad skin days (weeks).

I’m always getting compliments about how lovely my skin is and I must say it has to do with my Mother’s constant hard work and the “pure luck” factor. I only get the odd spots or blemishes but unfortunately I make them last long by picking them…

Anyhow.

This is how you can achieve great glowing and healthy looking skin:

Wash your face every evening with soap or whatever is suited to your skin. My skin is dry underneath but has a greasy surface at certain places (my nose mainly) so I use my usual shower gel or Dove soap.

Once a week I use a facial scrub – which is so far the best product i have ever seen for the purpose. It smells minty and scrubs the bad stuff off your skin

2 times a week I use Neutrogena Wave, which is a great facial cleanser cleaning off make up, dirt and anything from the surface

The next step I only recommend to experienced “squeezers”.. If you notice the blackheads, squeeze them out immediately, making sure that you squeeze it out all. After that you should apply a tonic on it so it doesn’t stay open… But generally i really really only advise you to do it if you know what to do, otherwise it will be infected, red and uglier then it was before…

While your skin is still wet after washing, apply the oil or cream you use. Do use the cream on your eyes and under your eyes as well.

Special cream for under your eye if you need it.

I always put all the creams I use all over my whole face and neck. Important to massage it a little bit under your chin because that is one of the areas which will look bad when you are older, so let’s work on that circulation now!

Apart from the skincare, misstache (mustache) should be removed or bleached, eyebrows tweezed to perfection and you can have the base of the great looks you have always wanted.

PS: if your skin is really complicated please just go to a professional therapist and don’t mess with it yourself
